Tabeer Riaz holds a BS (Hons) degree in Economics and Finance (Gold Medalist) from the University of Central Punjab, Lahore. During her degree, she investigated the nexus between government expenditure and economic growth of Pakistan by conducting co-integration and causality tests. Apart from her research endeavors, she has also interned at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where she got an opportunity to work as part of the university's research team as an Associate. Previously, she has served as the Project Coordinator for a private-sector enterprise. Later on, Tabeer joined Burki Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) as a Research Associate in December 2016 and worked as a key support to the Research and Consultancy wing of the organization. She was also associated with the business development function of the organization where she conducted review and QA of project proposals. Currently at WIT/LUMS, She is conducting extensive research to examine the issues regarding water management with focus on agriculture and water policy and how climate change is affecting these two strategic sectors in Pakistan. She has been consistently engaged in conducting long-term and short- term research projects, most of which involved meticulous investigation and qualitative research.
