Dr. Asif Khan is a climate change expert and have more than twelve years of professional field and research experience. He secured his PhD degree in Climate Change Water resources from Cambridge University UK, where his research topic was The hydro-climatology of the Upper Indus Basin: a critical analysis of data and modelling needs in a complex mountain environment. He is practicing professional engineer since 2005. During first two years of his career, He worked in National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK pvt. Ltd) as a regular employee. Then he worked for a year in Irrigation and Hydle- power Department as Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) and performed duties in design office as well as in the site implementation. After Irrigation department worked in FATA Rural Development Project (FRDP) FATA, as Infrastructure Design/Site engineer for about three years. Afterwards he joined Asian Development Bank as Procurement Specialist, where he performed his duties for two months. During 2006-2011 he has been teaching various courses of Civil Engineering at Gandhara Institute of Science and Technology, Peshawar as a visiting Assistant Professor. At present he is working as Individual Consultant (Water Resources and Climate Change Expert at Asian Development Bank), climate change expert with SUPARCO (Natcat Project). He is also working on water- energy and food nexus under climate change impact/adaptation analyses for the Indus Basin, Pakistan and Zambezi Basin, Africa, under ISWEL project at IIASA, Austria. In addition, he is working on the Indus Basin hydro-climatology with several other well-known researchers from various international institutes. These institutes includes; University of Cambridge, UK, University of Newcastle, UK, University of Twente, the Netherlands, University of Munich, Germany, University of Wageningen University, the Netherlands, University of Texas, USA, University of Colorado, USA, Jacobs International, USA.
