Dr. Irfan Baig has a vast experience of teaching, research, extension services, capacity development, monitoring and evaluation including working with multiple national and international organizations like JICA, ACIAR, KOICA & INPIM. He is the key team member of international multi-stakeholder, transdisciplinary projects like AgMIP (Agricultural Model Inter-comparison and Improvement Project) involving agricultural modeled simulations to understand climate impacts on the agricultural adaptations at global and regional scales. He has also worked on the development of Representative Agricultural Pathways (RAPs) developed through co-research process for economic analysis using TOA-MD. He is also the part of Punjab Irrigation System Improvement Project (PISIP) to work on the impact assessment of project interventions in local community and facilitation of multi-stake holder interactive sessions. He has also been involved in motivating and connecting the community with training and capacity building programs leading to the improvement of livelihoods thru efficient water management and agricultural production practices in the rain-fed regions. He acted as Director of Pak-Korea Capacity Building Center (PKCBC) at PMAS-AUUR (a joint initiative of KOICA and PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi Part of the team involved in development of Agricultural Policy-2018 with IDS & IFPRI and M&E of Punjab Agriculture Research Board (PARB).
