Dr. Faiza Akhter holds doctorate degree in Environmental Management (Thesis in Strategic Management, law, Policy and Eco-Management). She contributed to the Lahore Knowledge Park (LKP) as an Expert Environmentalist of Care Team. Where she was responsible to ensure that the community sites are adequately equipped with necessary facilities, equipment and supplies for relevant environmental aspects (e.g. appropriate medical waste storage areas, fire extinguishers). She reviewed the Environmental Management System at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. She assessed the need for changes to the Environmental Management System including the Environmental Policy and Environmental Objectives and Targets. She also coordinated environmental activities performed by contractors and evaluated new environmental aspects during this project. She is reviewer of various national and international magazines and published papers and her research interests includes; Permaculture Theory (Permaculture based Social Learning model for behaviour modification and Permaculture based management policy matrix model), Forest management and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) management.
