Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha is a livestock expert and did his PhD in Animal Nutrition from West Virginia University USA. He has over 35 years of teaching, research and administration experience. He is a author of chapters of two international books. Prof. Pasha had been conferred Sitara-i-Imitiaz civil award by President Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Independence Day 2015 for his outstanding performance and excellence in the field of Veterinary Science. He was elected President of Asian Buffalo Association (2006- 09) and selected for HEC Best University Teacher Award for the year 2009. He won thirteen research grants and currently conducting two research projects. Dr. Pasha is amongst one of few whose research is linked with livestock and poultry industry. He is fellow of Animal Nutrition Society of India, Member, International Buffalo Federation Italy and Member of American Society of Animal Science. He has been working as consultant to GTZ, SMEDA, US Grain Council, IDRC Canada and World Bank. Prof. Pasha is focal person for the establishment of Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur. He is member of syndicate of GC University and University of Management and Technology, Lahore. Member Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board, Punjab Agricultural Research Board, Halal Development Council, Karachi, Punjab Halal Development Authority and Punjab Wildlife Management Board. He is member of Lahore Division Cattle Market Management Company.
