Ms. Adnan holds an M.Phil degree in Governance and Public Policy from National Defence University, Islamabad. She also has to her credit a diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy and International Relations from the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, Islamabad. She has carried out a study Transboundary Water Governance between Pakistan and Afghanistan: A Case Study of Hydro- Diplomacy which investigates the feasibility of adopting hydro-diplomacy as a CBM and conflict resolution mechanism between geographically contiguous neighbours. Her previous engagements include research and coordination assignments at an armed forces think tank, Institute of Strategic Studies, Research & Analysis (ISSRA), Islamabad. She has had experience in research projects exploring transboundary and institutional governance issues facing Pakistan, public sector policy analysis, and conducting independent research for government departments, international donors and development organizations.
