In-house workshop on Sustainable Kitchen Gardening Techniques

BIPP organized an in-house workshop, Sustainable Kitchen Gardening Techniques, on 2 October 2019. Ms. Kainat Shakil shared a number of techniques for starting a winter vegetable garden in containers for small spaces (using upcycled jars, bottles, pots, and utensils). In addition to basic planting techniques, the group discussed the use of kitchen waste as a sustainable source for organic fertilizer. The presentation concluded with a Q&A session in which the audience asked a range of questions regarding the requirements such as watering needs, sunlight exposure, as well as the period of growth for different vegetables.
