Dr. Muhammad Ghaffar Doggar got Ph.D. degree in solar energy engineering from University of Strathclyde Glasgow Scotland U.K in 1995. He has 41 years of professional experience of working in various organizations including Punjab Government, Universities and Consultant firm. He is currently engaged in offering consultancy services and part time teaching as Visiting Faculty in Universities. He is actively involved in development of new research proposals for international funding in these Universities; and has been the Team Leader of several Foreign Funded Projects sponsored by China NFC /MoST/ Guangdong province. He worked as Associate Professor/ Principal Scientific Officer at Energy Researcher Center, COMSATS University Lahore 2015-19, and Projects Director/coordinator on a number of development projects (2005-15) in the fields of biomass power generation, biogas energy for diesel tube wells, solar cell production plant, S&T development in Pakistan, S&T statistics and Ground water exploration etc. Further, he developed collaboration with Professionals of China, Malaysia, UK, Turkey etc. and has the honor to be awarded six 6 projects i.e. 4 from China, 01 each from Japan and GIZ. He has been awarded 14 projects in total, costing 2778 Million Pak Rupees (+). A number of Comsats faculty members got training under his projects that enhanced their knowledge and expertise in the latest engineering fields. He planned another 5 research projects with Malaysian experts (UPM) which were however, delayed due to COVID-19 problems. His successful interaction with international donors and consultancy firms proved an asset for the Organizations he served. He has also published 13 papers in reputed journals and several papers (16) in conferences besides writing 20 main documents on S&T subjects including Renewable Energy and Biomass Feasibility studies.
