Dr. Parvez Hasan's economics career has spanned more than half a century of distinguished service both at the national and the international level. He is the former Chief Economist of the East Asia Division of the World Bank. He worked earlier as Chief Economist, Government of West Pakistan. In recognition of his contributions Government of Pakistan has awarded Dr. Hasan Sitara-i-Khidmat in 1969. He is also awarded a high civilian award by the Korean Government.
